Hey Ya'll

My name is Cheryl and I want to thank you for visiting Wings of a Dove. I am grateful to Jesus Christ for blessing me with the ability to listen to others express their thoughts and feeling, and for the talent to put that into a poem.

I enjoy helping people celebrate life through poetry, art, and song to creating something that can last forever.

Please look through my site to learn more about me, see my work, and read what others have to say.

May I Remember

When my morning is busy and I have so much to do,
may I remember to slow down Lord and remember you.
When my world seems as if it is spinning out of control,
may I remember you calm the sea and I am good to go.
When my burdens grow heavy on these shoulders of mine,
may I remind myself of the cross you carried and I am fine.
When Satan temps me every single day,
may I remember how he tempted you and I will be o.k.
When I feel as if my prayers haven’t been heard,
may I remember your promise’s you gave me in your word.
When I feel pity on myself and I am down and out,
may I remember Thomas in your word and it removes all doubt.
Thank you God for all that you do.

God Is Not Dead

It’s everywhere, the virus, protesting, killing, and fighting.
We read about it in the paper, we see it on the internet and on T.V.
There is no escaping this turmoil and trouble as it shakes America
to its core compared to how she used to be.
Where is God in all of this?
The one and only who created the entire universe!
He is being pushed aside as this new way of life for us only
becomes worse and worse.
It is said, that history repeats itself and I believe it to be true.
The son of God walked on this earth years ago and he will return
for his people whether it be thousands or a few.
No Virus, no President, no Preacher man, no Genius nor Scientist can
change God’s plan.
He already knows what is to come.
Could it be that he is allowing all this chaos to get through to man?
He offers to all a time to repent and cleanse one's soul.
I wonder how many people young or old ask themselves when their life
is over where will they go?
I thank God every day because I know I could never survive life on my own.
It has taken me years but I know now I will spend eternity in my Heavenly home.
God is not dead, he is alive!
All you have to lose is your soul, so why not give him a try?
